Donuts the bus

By

Amy Chaplin

aged 9 Redcliffs school One day when Donuts, the bus, was in bed he was thinking about going to the Olympics. They were coming up and he thought he had a good chance of winning. This year’s Olympics were going to be held in Wonder World. He wanted to go so he went to the airport and got the tickets. He flew over there. It was a .bumpy ride. He wanted to go back because the plane was really bumpy and he was hot and furious and he was sticky from sitting on the seat. Then a lady reported over the microphone that Wonder World was five minutes away. He was so thrilled that he jumped for joy, and after that the plane landed. He got out and then he heard that the Olympic games were just about to start. He rushed in and got his shorts on and ran

into the stadium and got in line to run. The man went, “On your mark, get set, go,” and the loud echo of the man’s gun could be heard all round Wonder World. Donuts was running his best and you could hear him puffing because he was hot and annoyed. Everybody was beating him. He got so angry that he pulled out. The next event was shot put. He said, “I’m good at that,” so when it was his turn lie gave it an almighty push but, sad to say, it dropped on his toe. Donuts burst out crying nuts and bolts. He shouted out, “I’m going home.” So he caught the flight home at 2 p.m. and had a quiet ride home. He was so thrilled when he got home. He rushed into his house and found his favourite teddy bear and gave it a big hug. He said, “I will never go to the Olympic games again.” And he didn’t.
