Ellas fail to front
NZPA-AAP DarwinThe five Ella brothers are unpopular with Northern; Territory Rugby Union after missing the TerritorySevens tournament at the’week-end. ’ The N.T.R.U. coaching director, Bruce Kennon, said, the Ellas — Mark, Timothy, Glen, Richard and Gary —- accepted invitations and were due to arrive in Darwin, on Friday. “Mark rang me to say they had missed the, plane so I told him we’d re-book the seats and he; agreed to catch the plane up on Saturday,” Mr Kennon, said. * "There’s been no explanation. I haven’t heard from, any of the Ellas since.” The Australian Rugby Union president, Joe French,; and the executive director, Bob Fordham, were both in; Darwin for the tournament. None of the Ella brothers* was available for comment last evening. ;
