Mare makes winning look easy
PA Whangarei A Clevedon-tralned mare, Julie Vance, given the run of the race by Mark Purdon, easily won the Pak ’N Save Whangarei Mobile Pace at the Northland Harness Racing Club’s meeting at Ruakaka yesterday. i Julie Vance settled fourth in the 2700-metre event and trailed on the, outer with 1600 m to run. She was midfield bn the outer at the bell and once into the straight finished best to win by nearly three lengths from Aramiro Lad. ; Third home was the favourite, Dual Sticks, shading another wellsupported runner, Hitchin. Aramiro Lad was handy throughout. Dual Sticks, midfield on the outer, ran on well.
The favourite, Audios, gave a good display to win the second leg of the T.A.B. double, the Eta and Griffins Mobile Pace.
