Rangers crushed
NZPA-Reuter London Manchester United romped into the fourth round of the Football Association (F.A.) Cup yesterday by crushing a 10-man Queen’s Park Rangers side 3-0. Rangers’ hopes of success in the third round second replay all but vanished when Alan McDonald was dismissed for elbowing the United striker, Mark Hughes, in the face after 24 minutes. The Londoners briefly made life difficult for their hosts but were eventually swamped once the Scottish striker, Brian McClair, put United ahead from the penalty spot after 54 minutes.
