College’s U.S. ties strengthen

Links between Lincoln College and the University of California, Davis, will be strengthened this year with an exchange of faculty members. The professor of finance and accounting at Lincoln College, Professor Roger Juchau, will be Visiting Scholar at Davis during the first half of the year. A professor of agricultural economics at Davis, Warren Johnston, will be at Lincoln for the same time. Professor Juchau will spend his time at Davis researching problem areas in financial reporting.

He will also observe administrative practices in . leading business schools in the United

States and Britain. Professor Johnston, a former Fulbright Research Fellow at Lincoln College, will again be involved in collaborative research with Lincoln’s Dr Gerald Frengley. Their research is concerned with aspects of the adjustments of New Zealand farmers to recent price changes. This research is part of a larger three-year programme involving Lincoln staff and students, the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, and the United States Department of Agriculture.

These links with Davis are part of the University of California’s Pacific Ring Academic Exchange Programme.
