Transmark head
Mr Avon Carpenter has been appointed the chairman of Transmark Corporation (formerly Moyes and Groves), replacing Mr Don Clark, who has resigned as a director and chairman following his recent appointment as executive director of NZI Bank.
Mr Carpenter, who takes up his chairmanship immediately, is also chairman of New Zealand Equities and a director of The New Zealand Kiwifruit Marketing Board and Paladin. He is also a New Zealand director of both Westpac Banking Corporation and Australian Guarantee Corporation.
Transmark, through its subsidiary, Monaco Corpora- > tion, is the New Zealand distributor for Casio electronic products, Pioneer audio equipment, Toshiba consumer electronics and TDK audio and video tapes. Through its subsidiary, Mobex Pty, it is the Australian distributor for Casio electronic products and Aiwa audio equipment.
Transmark also owns the speciality engineering company, Moyes and Groves.
