Cricket players on stamps
Two New Zealand cricketers, Richard Hadlee and Martin Crowe, feature on a new stamp issue from St Vincent Grenadines, in the West Indies.
Mr Bruce Alexander, of Stirling and Company, said it was rare to find New Zealand cricketers on overseas stamps. However, it is becoming increasingly common for people to collect stamps on certain themes rather than countries, and the new issue may have been put out with that in mind. “There are people who collect just cricket stamps. This is possibly the start of a series.”
