Dole to rich flunkey
NZPA-AFP London A Briton, on the dole for seven years, now is the highest paid butler in the world, earning £60,000 (about $170,502) a year from a Saudi Arabian sheik.
The young man, whose name was not disclosed for security reasons, does not pay tax, has free room and board, his own maid, a car, free plane tickets and free medical care. The director of an
international school for butlers, Ivor Spencer, revealed his star pupil’s success saying he had been impressed with the young man’s enthusiasm when he enrolled at the school after seven years unemployment in Liverpool. When too busy, the young butler can delegate to his staff of 42 people. But, Mr Spencer said, “he works very hard so he deserves every penny.”
