Chch’s oldest resident dies
Christchurch’s oldest resident, Mrs Beatrice Smith, died yesterday at the age of 106. Mrs Smith was born in Bristol, England, and came to New Zealand in 1923 to be with members of her family living in Sumner. She has been living at Cavell Private Hospital since she was 99.
