Heat causes tank leak
Soaring temperatures in Christchurch yesterday caused an ammonia leak at the L.P.G. Centre in Byron Street. The heat caused pressure to build up in a tank. Two fire engines were called to the scene about 8 p.m. However, the pressure was quickly relieved.
