Man faces rare charge
PA Auckland An Auckland man appeared in court yesterday on a rare charge of setting a man trap. The police said the man strung a line between his truck and his house and hung fish hooks on it. They said the man had set the trap after he apparently had been threatened by others. He was arrested after an armed offenders squad call-out to a Glen Eden, west Auckland, address soon after midnight on Sunday when neighbours reported shots and an argument between two men.
Both men were intoxicated and were arrested by armed police without incident.
