This story reveals the fascinating private life of the bee-eater — one of the most attractive birds of Southern Europe. We see how the team of birds work together, from the constructing of nests to helping incubate the eggs and how they hunt their prey — bees and wasps. 7.30: MURDER SHE WROTE. Jessica Fletcher is to receive a special award at Crenshaw College. When a murder is discovered on campus it poses puzzling questions. 8.30: BOON. Ken and White Lightning ride to the rescue of two damsels in distress — one a model trying to get her life in order and the other “Red Glory,” a fire engine at the centre of a shady business transaction. 9.30: EYEWITNESS NEWS. 10.00: THE JOURNEY. “FOURTEEN DAYS IN MAY,” screened recently, depicted the final two weeks in the life of Edward Johnson, a young black man on death row in Mississippi, convicted of killing a white town marshal. After the execution, producer Paul Hamann and Johnson’s lawyer, Clive Stafford Smith, vowed that they would do their utmost to clear Johnson’s name. “The Journey,” follows their progress through a wilderness of closed doors and conflicting alibis as they piece together the events of that fateful evening nine years ago. 11.05: FALCON CREST.
