No trace of banknotes
PA Auckland Detectives say 10 days of inquiries have failed to trace $lOO,OOO in banknotes stolen from Auckland Airport. The New Zealand currency flown from Rarotonga in an Air New Zealand plane disappeared within 36 hours of its arrival on December 7, Detective Chief Inspector Peter Ward of the Manukau police said. He said the money, due to have been collected by a security firm, was reported missing on December 9.
