Five new singles gain top 20 places
Yazz And The Plastic Population remained on top of the South Island singles chart this week with “Only Way Is Up.”
Five new releases entered the top 20, “I’m Gonna Be,” a ditty by the heavily accented duo, The Proclaimed, making the highest debut at No. 6.
“Rattle And Hum,” by U2, regained the No. 1 place on the album list. The only new title was the soundtrack LP from the movie, "Cocktail.” Bobby McFerrin remained at the head of the Australian charts with his single, “Don’t Worry Be Happy,” reports NZPA-AAP-AP from Sydney.
Behind him in second place is Jimmy Barnes with “When A Man Loves A Woman,” and in third place is Phil Collins, with “A Groovy Kind Of Love.” The United States chart had a new No. 1 with "Baby, I Love Your Way” by Will To Power. “How Can I Fall” by Breathe was in second place.
