Peddie disqualified
A sub-committee of the New Zealand Racing Conference ' took a lenient view of charges found proven against Donald George Peddie, a stud master, under Rule 328 at a hearing recently. Peddie was charged with wilfully supplying false information on a branding slip returned to the conference. He was disqualified for three months and costs of $3OOO were awarded against him.
The sub-committee took into account a clear explanation give by Peddie as to how the matter
arose when the slip was forwarded. It decided to take a more lenient view than might normally be the case in such matters.
