PA Hamilton The powerhouse Waikato lifter Kevin Judson became the first New Zealander to total 10 times his bodyweight on Saturday when he blitzed his way through the North Island powerlifting championships in Wanganui. Judson, who last month tied

for third at the world power lifting championships in Perth, broke seven national records on his way to accumulating the total weight of 750 kg. In the last four months, Judson has broken 21 New Zealand lifting records. In easily winning the 75kg division in Wanganui, Judson,

a Hamilton car salesman, broke the bench press, deadlift and total records twice, and the squat record once.

New records stand at 272.5 kg for the squat, 180 kg for the bench, 287.5 kg for the deadlift and 750 kg for the total.
