Actress in custody battle
I’m not one to gossip but ... actress LesleyAnne Down is fighting again in court to keep her six-year-old son Jack. She is trying anything, even giving an $BOOO birthday party for him, to win the six-year-old boy’s affections from his father. The three-year custody battle seemed to have reached a truce last year. Jack’s dad, 48 year-old William Friedkin, a top movie director whose name appears on movies like “The Exorcist,” “The French Connection,” “To Live and Die in L.A.,” is taking his ex-wife back into the court to try to win full custody of the boy who now travels between his parents every few weeks. Tony Danza and the rest of the TV series “Who’s The Boss” couldn’t believe their ears when they heard 15 year-old Alyssa Milano, who plays Tony’s on-screen daughter, was living with her boyfriend, 17-year-old Chris Young.. The true
story is this: Chris and Alyssa could not bear to be apart, so he has moved into her family home. Chris has his room and Alyssa has hers. Their parents are going along with the arrangements, but they hope that Chris will eventually move back home.
Robert Wagner thinks he became a star through enthusiasm. Robert confesses, "Growing up, I desperately wanted to be in the movies. I used to climb over the studio walls just to get a glimpse of the magic. And when I finally got my big chance, I just loved it all, and that’s never changed.” Sharon Gless, star of TV’s “Cagney and Lacey” is slowly winning the battle to keep away from the booze. Recently she was given a very strong ultimatum by her doctor — beat the bottle or die! The 45-year-old actress is in danger of falling off the waggon, only five months after she under-
went treatment at the Hazelden Foundation’s rehabilitation centre. I hear that Sharon is having a rather tough time bouncing back from two shattered romances and the cancellation of the hit show that earned her two Emmy Awards.
George Hamilton was recently out celebrating his forty-ninth birthday, and returned home to find he had been robbed. The thing he was most upset about losing was a collection of Cuban cigars which were worth $7OOO and could never be replaced. Balding Bruce Willis has finally admitted the truth: he’s started wearing a toupee to cover over his fraying forelock. Watch out for his new movie “In Country” and the debut of his toupee, which really makes him look a lot younger. I hear his wife was the one who talked him into it. ... But my lips are scaled.
