Steps against hooligans
The English Football Association has lent support to British Government plans to prevent convicted soccer hooligans travelling abroad. An F.A. spokesman Glen Kirton, said, “In our view the principal hooligan problem is caused by fans outside the ground, and particularly by those fans who travel abroad to watch England. If the Government can find an effective way of stopping them, they will have our full suppport.” — NZPA
