Arson suspect sighted

The contents of a Wastetaker rubbish bin were the only casualty in the latest incident in Christchurch’s series of arson attacks. The bin was standing outside the Railways Corporation buildings in Moorhouse Avenue when it was set alight about 10 p.m. on Monday. The bin was clear of any buildings, and while its contents were destroyed, there was no other damage. The C. 1.8. arson squad was following up the sighting of a suspect in the area.
