Campaigner in court
PA Wellington A peace campaigner, Owen Wilkes, aged 48, pleaded not guilty to a charge of trespass when he appeared in the District Court at Wellington on Monday.
Judge M. Lee remanded him on bail to appear in the District Court at Christchurch on December 7 when, Wilkes said, others were appearing on related charges. The charges relate to a
protest at Christchurch Airport last Labour Day week-end. There was little information on Wilkes at the court. Police files were in transit from Christchurch.
