Talkback spot for Bavadra
PA Auckland The deposed Fiji Prime Minister, Dr Timoci Bavadra, arrives in Auckland next week for meetings with supporters and a guest spot on talkback radio. A Foreign Affairs spokesman, Mr Hugo Judd, said he did not anticipate any problems with Dr Bavadra gaining a visa — in spite of the cool treatment accorded Dr
Bavadra’s personal representative by New Zealand at the South Pacific Forum last month. Mr Judd said the Government had received no requests for meetings with Ministers or officials Dr Bavadra, whose multiracial coalition Government was ousted at gunpoint in a military coup last year, will appear in seven hours of talkback radio in Auckland.
