Reil deal
Reil Corp said it has reached agreement in principle to sell the Sunbeam/ Vieta Group of companies to the Byvest Management Buyout Group and a number of the senior executives of Sunbeam/Victa. Reil said the exact sale price will not be finalised until shortly before settlement which is expected within six weeks, but the total financing will be in the order of sAustloo million (SNZI29M). Steel boost Nippon Steel Corp will boost production of hot-dip galvanised sheet steel at its factory in Nagoya from'mid--1990 to cope with growing domestic demand, a spokesman for Japan’s leading steelmaker said. It will invest about 12 billion or 13 billion yen (SNZI46M to SISBM) on equipment to enable it to make another 40,000 tonnes of hot-dip galvanised steel sheet a month, up from 60,000 to 70,000 now.
