EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR NORTHLAND SPORTS FOUNDATION This newly-formed foundation seeks its first Executive Director who must accept the challenge of building an organisation whose major aims are to provide maximum opportunity for all Northlanders to take part in the sports of their choice and to assist individuals and teams to fulfil their potential regardless of age or sporting code. Candidates should ★Possess good communication skills enabling them to deal diplomatically with educational institutions, local bodies, regional and national amateur sports bodies, the Hillary Commission, the New Zealand Sports Foundation, etc. ★Have a background of active participation and interest in a wide range of sports. ★Be proven self-starters with the ambition to make a career of sports management. ★Either already have, or be capable of rapidly acquiring, sponsorship, marketing and financial skills. ★Be prepared to establish office premises, appoint staff and undertake the Foundation’s work on a hands-on basis.
