Goodman Fielder Wattie (Asia) Pte, Ltd, a unit of Goodman Fielder Wattie, said it had acquired Singapore’s Quality Bakers (Asia) Pte, Ltd. This was part of the next phase of the group’s commitment to expanding its food activities throughout Asia, Mr Noel Robertson, chairman of Goodman Fielder Wattie, said. The statement did not disclose the price and no further details were given. The sale would not have any substantial effect on Pan Austral, they added. CSR buys Industrial giant, CSR, said it has bought two Bell Group subsidiaries involved in concrete and quarrying operations. The price for the deal was not disclosed, but the figure is believed to be more than sAustso million. The companies, Sellars Holdings, Ltd, and West Moreton Industries Pty, Ltd, have pre-mix concrete and hard rock quarrying operations in Queensland and northern New South Wales.
