Martha Hill ahead
PA Auckland Gold production for the Martha Hill mine in Waihi is expected to be 15 per cent to 20 per cent over budget for the six months from July to December, according to Mineral Resources, Ltd, spokesman, Mr Peter Liddle. Mineral Resources, which has a 27.8 per cent stake in the goldmine, is to release a production report within the next three weeks. Mineral Resources, the only partner
in the venture that has to report to the Stock Exchange, says gold production was initially budgeted at 4100 ounces of gold a month. But from the time the mine swung into full production in July, said Mr Liddle, the amount of gold is nearer 5000 oz a month. “This means we are well beyond our target of producing 52,0000 z of gold a year,” he said.
