Snow Flakes

Written by Katie Henderson, aged 10, in the winter of ’BB The snow started at about 6.30 p.m. As the snowflakes fell, I realised they were as big as an earring stud. Then it stopped! All of a sudden huge snowflakes started coming down. They were as big as an apricot. It has never snowed before in our backyard, (well at least not that I can remember). It was strange. First the grass is green and now white.

Nearly everything is white. All except the sky. It’s a dull grey. Wow! They have changed size again. Now they’re about as big as a grape..

The plant outside my window has a couple of leaves that are about to fall off because of all the snow.

As the cars go past you can see the snow falling on the other side of the road and all the white grass over there.

Wondering what the day is going to be like tomorrow, I slowly drift off to sleep.
