Changes at Centron and Powercorp
Mr Roger Redfern, national marketing manager for Digital Equipment Corporation, has been appointed general manager, general systems, of the merged Centron Corporation and Powercorp. Mr Denis Quaintance has stepped down as general manager of Powercorp. Mr John Patchett, chief executive of Centron Corporation and a director of Powercorp, announced the changes. Centron and Powercorp will merge from November 1, and Mr Patchett will be chief executive. Mr Redfern, who was national marketing manager for Wang before joininng Digital, will be responsible for sales and marketing in the midrange, bureau, and network areas and will report to Mr Patchett. Mr Quaintance will continue to be a consultant to the merged company.
