A member of the management unit that is winding up the Ministry of Works and Development, Mr Michael Clifton, with surplus equipment that is being offered for sale. The unit, which was set up in April to dispose of assets belonging to the now disbanded Ministry of Works, has been selling furniture and equipment from the Government Building, Worcester Street. The manager of the unit, Mr Peter Gooding, said yesterday that the furniture had come from the Bates Building and the Government Building, left behind when the ministry changed its offices on becoming a State-owned enterprise. The sale had raised $50,000 and it was hoped it could be concluded in two weeks.
