Cars burgled
Two cars were broken into near Arthur’s Pass at the week-end while the occupants were away climbing and tramping. A car parked just west of Arthur’s Pass on State highway 73 was entered on Sunday between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. Rock climbing gear worth between $4OO and $5OO was stolen. The car occupants were climbing Mount Rolleston at the time. The second break-in occurred on Old Coach Road, east of Arthur’s Pass. Petrol, a small amount of cash and a car jack were stolen.
