Fall from overbridge
A man who fell 4m from the approach ramp of the Waltham Road overbridge early yesterday lay for almost six hours before being discovered.
The man, aged 57, who may have spinal injuries and a broken pelvis, was placed in a Stokes rescue basket and pulled up by rope. He was taken by ambulance to hospital. His name and condition were not available last evening. He is believed to have suffered an epileptic fit about 6 a.m. and fallen over the railing from the footpath.
