Award to library adviser
A school library adviser who works with 200 schools, and countless parents and children every year, has been honoured by the Canterbury Council of the New Zealand Reading Association. Mrs Rosemary Sladen
was told of the award at a recent function last evening. The award is made each year to “honour someone who has made aril-outstanding contribution to literacy in Canterbury.”
Mrs Sladen has been a library adviser for six years, and had worked enthusiastically to develop courses, and resources, including non-book stock, saidythe president of me Canterbury. Council, Mrs Jan Barrow.
