SKIING Queenstown’s Geoff Hunt completed a fine double when he won the recent Karhu Classic Telemark race at the Cardrona ski area, Wanaka. . Hunt, already the winner of the Grand Slam event during the spring carnival week at The Remarkables, Queenstown, came out on top in a field of 36 racers for the telemark race. The race was run on a head-to-head format on an open slalom course. The first round winners went into a winners’ pool and the losers into a runners-up pool.
