Riccarton run likely
The well-performed Te Rapa gelding, Exchequer, is a likely runner at Riccarton on Friday and will continue to race in the south from the stable of Garth Jackson. Exchequer, trained in the north by Ray Cleaver, has won six races and nearly $BO,OOO. He was successful only once last season, when he defeated the New Zealand Cup runner-up, Prince Avila, at Te Rapa, in May, but had consistent placed form through a busy season. Exchequer is likely to remain in Canterbury at least until after the New Zealand Cup meeting in November.
