PA Wellington National Pacific Corp has appointed Dr Colin Maiden chairman of the National Insurance Co., of N.Z., Ltd. “His considerable experience as a director and senior executive of several public companies will greatly assist the board of National Insurance as they consider the development and strategic direction of the company,” National Pacific’s managing director, Mr Keith Taylor, said. Dr Maiden has management experience in both the private and public sectors. Currently, he is vice-chancel-lor at the University of Auckland, a position he has held since the early 19705. Dr Maiden spent 10 years in the United States with a large car manufacturing company, as an engineer and subsequently in a management position.
