Injured children helped
Auckland’s road traffic officers have raised $23,000 to care for severely injured children. The money will be used to buy life-saving equipment for children in Auckland Hospital’s critical care department and the new Auckland Children’s hospital. “Road accidents involving children are the worst, especially when we have youngsters of our own,” Traffic Officer Derek Norman said. —PA
