James returns to stage
PA Auckland The New Zealand entertainer, Billy T. James, has returned to the stage for the first time since a heart attack five weeks ago. James is the narrator for the “Rocky Horror Picture Show” for its New Zealand tour which opened its Auckland season on Thursday evening. James said his doctor had allowed him to resume “most activities.” He said the attack was caused by
“burning the candle at both ends and not slowing down.” Looking at the cigarette in his hand he said, “I’ll have to give that up as well.” Although it is James’ first theatrical role, he prefers live work and hopes to do more in the future, health permitting. , Sir Robert Muldoon played the part of the show’s narrator during its 1986 tour of New Zealand.
