Public Notices Hallo ' P/ OlS'(R\& JELLIE PARK AQUALAND DEVELOPMENT LOAN 1988 $2,000,000 IT is hereby publicly notified that the Waimairi District Council, at its ordinary meeting held In the Waimairi Road Community Centre, 166 Waimairi Road, on Wednesday, September 2i; 1988, resolved: “That in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested In it by the Local Government Act 1974, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Local Authorities Loans Exemption Order 1986, and amendments thereto and all other Acts (If any) enabling it In that behalf, the Waimairi District Council resolves to proceed to raise In New Zealand a loan to be known as the Jellle Park Aqualand Development Loan 1988 for an amount of Two Million Dollars for the purposes of developing and adding to Jellle Park Aqualand, In particular an indoor swimming pool, and to reimburse other funds for expenditure already Incurred or otherwise subject to the following determinations: 1. The maximum term for which the said loan or any part thereof may be borrowed shall be 20 years. 2. Interest rates shall be determined according to market rates applicable at the time of actual loan raising. 3. The loan or any part thereof, together with interest thereon, shall be repaid by any of the following methods of repayment: (a) By equal aggregate annual or half-yearly Instalments of principal and interest; (b) By annual payments to a sinking fund in respect of this loan or any issue thereof, at a rate of not less than 1.17 per cent per annum of the amount for the time being borrowed and not repaid. 4. The Council hereby appropriates and pledges a special annual recurring rate of 0.01220 cents in the dollar on the capital value of all rateable property in the District of Waimairi. 5. No borrowings shall be undertaken in currencies other than New Zealand dollars. 6. Commission or fees may be paid in respect of the raising of the said loan or any part thereof as the Local Authorities Loans Board may determine from time to time. 7. Such other determinations of the Local Authorities Loans Board as are applicable.” Pursuant to the Local Authority Loans Act 1956 and amendments thereto, it is hereby further publicly notified that the foregoing resolution will be submitted to an Ordinary Meeting of the Waimairi District Council to be held in the Council Chambers, Fendalton, at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 19, 1988, for confirmation as a Special Order. Further public notice is hereby given that a poll of ratepayers is required to be taken if 15 p.c. of the ratepayers of the District of Waimairi so demand in writing under their hand delivered or sent by post to the undersigned before 9 a.m. on the date fixed for the confirmation of the above resolution as a Special Order. That the Lyttelton Borough Council hereby resolves by way of Special Order, pursuant to Section 34 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, to raise a loan of $lBO,OOO to be known as the Launch Loan 1988, to purchase a replacement launch, for at term of 15 years, at a market rate of Interest. 2. That this Special Order be confirmed at the Ordinary meeting of the Council to be held on Monday, October 17, 1988.
