DESIGN ENGINEER (Digital and Software) This position is on the team responsible for the design and development of circuitry and software which satisfies the technical need of modern data transfer equipment. Direct experience in microprocessor hardware and assembly language programming is desirable. TEST ENGINEER This position is in a small team that builds, develops and maintains the test instruments, jigs and procedures used in the manufacture of mobile two-way radios. A top priority is to support the manufacturing production test systems, rectifying problems as they arise. The work will vary and could also include designing the test regime for new product lines, improving present test procedures, writing test programs where computers are involved and some CAD work. A key requirement of this position is to be oncall outside day-time working hours; own transport required. For this position the minimum qualification sought is NZCE or equivalent plus three to five years in the electronic servicing or design field. The Trust has over 20,000 members and has a network of regional committees throughout the country. The Director will be responsible for the effective management of the Historic Places Trust. The appointee will carry into effect the Trust’s policies and individual projects. He/she will supervise the carrying out of the Trust’s statutory responsibilities for recording, classification and protection of historic places, its role in the management of historic places and its educational and promotional programmes. The appointee will also fill the position of Assistant Director, Historic Resources and will be responsible for the effective conservation and management of .the historic resources of the Department of Conservation. The appointee should have a commitment to the conservation of New Zealand’s historic places and should have broad experience and proven ability in public administration with particular emphasis on policy development and experience in management.
