PADunedin The New •Zealand Golden Fleece open fine-wool shearing champion, Mana Te Whata, has retained his title in a closely fought competition at Alexandra, Central Otago. Te Whata beat 53 other shearers to win the title for the second year in succession. The championships were the first event in the DB Draught national shearing contest, which
