Report on training for release
Wellington reporter The direction in which New Zealand’s post-com-pulsory education system should head will be highlighted in a report to be released on Monday. The report is from the working party on postcompulsory education and training, charged with advising the Government on teaching and training those over the age of 15. The report deals with equity, the balance between private and social costs in education, and the importance of appropriate management. The working party was chaired by Professor Gary Hawke. The report will be open for submissions until the end of October, and from the report and submissions the Government will produce a policy statement.
