Jill Irwin, head of the harlots in the Christchurch Teachers College production of “The Originals,” leads the cast in a performance of “Nell’s Song” in Cathedral Square. The musical is about colonists around Sydney in the early 1880s and was chosen because this is the bicentennial year of European settlement in Australia. The show, running at the Teachers College auditorium from September 28 to October 1, will be a New Zealand premiere.
