As market research is a service industry and our operation is dependent upon the needs of our clients, this position can be part-time sometimes and other times even more than full-time. Therefore the successful applicant would need to be very flexible. However on average the position would involve about 25 to 30 hours per week which includes the appointee being available all day on alternate Saturdays. The duties involved are organising and motivating a team of up to 30 interviewers as well as recruiting and training new people when necessary. There would also be responsibility for a small team of interviewers out of Christchurch. The position is operated from the appointee’s home which must therefore be suitably sized to cope with holding briefings of up to 20 people at one time.
