Board appointments
Representatives of Christchurch-based Pyne Gould, Ltd, have been appointed to the board of Reid Farmers, Ltd. Mr David Gould, chairman of Pyne Gould, and Mr Robert Dewar, managing , director, assume the seats vacated by the resignations of Messrs Athol Hutton and John van Beurten, both of Waitaki International. The changes follow Pyne Gould’s acquisition
of a majority shareholding in Reid Farmers which it has bought from Waitaki since balance date. In other changes, Messrs D. S. Reid and H. G. McLachlan will retire from the board of Reid Farmers following the annual meeting on September 28. Mr Lindsay Brown, a Dunedin partner of Deloitte Haskins and Sells will take one of the vacant positions.
