Loan for $181.2M to N.Z.
PA Wellington New Zealand has raised the equivalent of $181.2 million in European Currency Units which will be used to refinance existing debt. The Minister of Finance, Mr Douglas, announced yesterday that ECU 100 million had been raised through a public bond issue on the Euromarket. The issue, launched on Monday in London, had a coupon of 7.875 per cent and matured on October 4 1995, he said. The bonds were issued at a price of 101.5 per cent. The lead manager was Banque Paribas Capital Markets. A Treasury spokesman said the Government had now raised about ECU 500 million on the Euro-mar-ket. The unit yesterday had a value of USll2.lBc.
