Carpet display
Newly released quality Feltex Axminster carpets will be one of the focal points of the furnishings displays at J. Ballantyne and Co., Ltd, this week. These carpets meet the strong criteria applied by Ballantynes for products. They are beautiful, practical and durable. According to Ballantynes’ merchandise controller, Mr Richard MacQueen the carpets give “the perfect balance between fashion and func-
tion.” The carpets are prepared by a unqiue process producing woven backing. The luxurious, dense pile stands up to the heaviest of treatment while retaining its handsome appearance longer than other carpets, Mr MacQueen believes. On show this week will be the full Feltex Axminster Riccarton and Royale collections including traditional favourites and glorious Persian designs.
Also on display will be the latest addition to the Feltex Axminster range — the Empress collection — with three stunning new contemporary designs. Feltex will also feature a wide range of tweeds, Berbers, and plain hard twists, such as Tuxedo and Extra Heavy Duty. This is a hard-twist cut pile in contemporary colours, co-ordinated to blend with the latest fabric designs.
