Eight suspicious fires
Christchurch fire officers attended eight fires in the space of six hours yesterday and most are being investigated by fire investigation officers and the police.
Several of the fires were in the bodies of derelict cars, two were in trees, one at the top of a power pole and another in a garden shed. No injuries were reported.
