High-flown prank
NZPA-AP Pittsburgh No, Lisa Pupo doesn’t need a husband, a boyfriend or even a date. But more than 56,800 football fans here may think so.
At a National Football League game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Pittsburgh Steelers, an aeroplane flew over the stadium with a banner saying: “Lisa Pupo — 30 — single” — and gave her home telephone number.
“It was a prank, and a pretty smooth one, by my law cartners,” Miss Pupo said‘later. “I must have got 200 phone calls, some even before the game was over.
“I highly recommend it for someone who really is looking for a date. I got marriage proposals, a couple of perverted calls, a lot of pretty sincere callers and even a woman who wanted to know why I would do such a thing.” She promised to retaliate against her partners, telling the Pittsburgh press that one of them “is very good-looking and real rich.”
