Crown 53% to Elders
PA Wellington The directors of Crown Corporation have advised the Stock Exchange that 53.4 per cent of Crown’s ordinary shareholders, excluding the Rada Corporation holding, have so far accepted the offer from Elders Resources NZFP.
Sir Roderick Weir and Mr P. H. Scott have retired from the Crown board with effect from September 7. Mr J. J. Matthews of Elders has joined the board and Mr J. M. Feeney has been elected chairman ’to replace Sir Roderick.
Certificates for the options to be issued to those share-
holders who have accepted the offer will be mailed in three or four days time and that application has been made to the New Zealand and Australian Stock Exchanges to list the options.
