Mob ends jail protest
PA Auckland. The Mongrel Mob protest in D Block of Paremoremo Prison has ended, with the gang members agreeing to abide by jail rules and authorities promising a return of all privileges.
Mob members late last year began the protest to press claims for a prison grievance committee. They have since refused to leave their cells, thrown excrement in corridors and gone on sporadic hunger strikes.
