Christchurch market figures
A statistical up-date released by Valuation New Zealand recently shows that the price of the average home in Christchurch has continued to rise.
For the half year ending June 30 the average price was $90,535, compared with $86,866 for the, preceding six months. From January to June the
average house price index for Christchurch city increased by 4.72 per cent. Sales volumes also recorded a steady rise.
House sales volume for the half year ended June 30 was 3228, compared with 3407 for the preceding six months, and 2844 for the first half of 1987.
